Transfer Report is due soon!!

Times flying so quickkk!! Last week, during the meeting with SV, we'd discussion on my first year report!! It is due on end of march. When he said, it's the time to think about it..then he came out with his 3 W and 1 S that he usually wants his students to answer in the report.

His guideline really clear my mind on what should i write on my report. Ermm..a good outline will make my mind feel better..eventhough, still need more hard work especially in organizing my review and result. And also to sharpen my foundation in my research.

50 pages for first year report?? His answered makes me feel sooo relief. Luckily not 100 or 200 pages. Fuweeehh!! If i start writing now, atleast allocate my research time for 1/2 - 1 page perday..i think should be fine..if no iteruption in between. I wish!! Insyallah.

These is the 3W and 1S that he urged me to answer.

Day 3 in Edinburgh City. Mama suka sgt city ni..ayah maisarah kata, patut apply buat phd kat sini hari tu..baru class..hehheh

Scotland vacation-Day 2

Loch lomond...subhanallah..cantiknya...very peaceful..mama never been to loch lomond before but ayah did. Our journey to loch lomond took almost 2hours ++ from falkirk..penatnya..byk masa travel in the car jer.. However, alhamdulillah weather quite nice..sunny..tapi tulah..sekejap jer dah nak malam.

Berpusing gak nak cari tempat yg sesuai tuk snap picture. So ada beberapa tempat we stopped amik gambar.

We came to the first stop, (lupa lah nama dia)..there is oulet/shopping complex at that place. We snapped some pics..then still tak satisfied, tak dapat amik the whole view of loch lomond..then we looked for another better place.

After that we lead to edingburh via glascow. Straight to travelodge edinburgh west end..we'd some rest and dinner..then went to edinburgh city. Mama love so much this city. Last time, mama spent 3 days vacation at edinburgh alone.

Banyak tempat nak bawak hani and izzati kat edinburgh, tapi time too constraint. Kesian diorg, tak sempat nak main ice skating malam tu..dah nak tutup plak.

Continue ronda2 at edinburgh city again tomorrow.

Yohuu!! Baru ada masa nak update blog ni. After the friday meeting!! Lega rasa...Enda Hani and Enda Cik (adik nizam), visit us here. There've been here for 2 weeks already..Maisarah happy sangat, ada org nak melayan dia...ada friends..

Baru landing jer kat airport terus kami bawak ke trafford centre..jalan2 and minum kat startbuck. Few days lepas tu, kami buat open house sempena hari raya aidiladha skali ngan house warming..nasib baik lah ada enda hani and enda cik, bertungkus lumuslah kami masak malam tu. Antara yg sempat:- mee kari, rendang ayam, kuah kacang and nasi impit. Emmm sedapnya..

The next day tu mama bawak diorg ke city centre..so dapatlah tunjuk2 jalan and tmpat nk makan kalau nak explore sendiri next time. (rasanya depa dah expert dah jalan kat city centre tu by now)..heheh

Weekend (13-15 dec) bawak diorg jalan2 ke scotland. Bertolak saturday morning terus ke falkirk..singgah ke falkirk wheel..memandangkan dah letih dalam kereta, semua dah malas nak jalan ke wheel tu. So takde lah gambar.

Then we continue our journey tu sterling castle. Memang cantik castle tu, kat atas bukit. So apa lagi, posing sakan lah kami di situ.

Since winter ni 3.50pm dah gelap, tambah weather hari tu pon tak membantu, hujan sajer..so kami pon decided nak berehat awal...so terus ke falkirk travelodge. Sampai hotel, panaskan makanan yg mama dah siap masak from rumah..makan sedapnyerr..kebulur sungguh rasa.

Yg syoknya..ada sebab lain gak balik awal..ehem ehem..the final X factor malam tu!!! nak sgt tgk my favourite alexandra burke tu menang!! menang pon dia!!

Tuesday, 2 dec 2008. It is snowy morning!! Memang dah expect akan snow today since last nite was very cold. Bangun pagi, terus tgk kat window..wow! it is snowing!! terus bangunkan maisarah and ayah...sambil siap2 kan maisarah, sempat gak mama snapped few photos from our bedroom. Lama dah tak tgk snow..

26th NoV 08: Our 4th Wedding Anniversary

Alhamdulillah, it has been 4 years since we tied the knot and I just feel like yesterday when we met each other. There are still many years to come, and I wish happiness and love will be with us as now hereafter. Insyallah. Thanks to my hubby for being a very2 wonderful husband..

The 'golden' theme was chosen at my side in Kuala Lumpur. It was on 28th Nov 2004. Like the king and queen zaman dulu2..heheh..it was funny when my foreigner friend look at this picture and asked me 'Are you living in the palace??' hahaha

The wedding reception at my husband's side was one month away from the first reception. This was because my family in law wished to have marriage ceremony together with my sister in law. It was nice two have two bridals on that day.

If you notice..the date on the picture is on 26th December 2004 and it was in balik pulau. If you still remember, that was the same date as tremendous tsunami disaster that devastated Acheh last time. Huhuh...

The house was a bit chaotic that morning, as we can feel the house moving and shaking because of the earthquake. And later in the afternoon, tsunami was happend. ergghhh...however, Alhamdulillah the ceremony was gone very well. Only after the ceremony, we found out that some part of balik pulau areas had severely affected by the tsunami.

Wishing myself and hubby..happy wedding annyversary, may Allah bless us till the end.

Children made to face away from their carers are more likely to end up anxious adults, the first ever study on the effects of buggies has revealed.

The away-facing babies in the research were "emotionally impoverished", laughed less, talked less and suffered more stress than those facing their parent.

Almost 3,000 parent-infant pairs were studied as part of the research by Dundee University for the Talk To Your Baby early language campaign of the National Literacy Trust.

In one experiment, 20 babies were pushed for a mile, half the journey spent in an away-facing buggy and the other in a toward-facing one.

A quarter of parents using face-to-face buggies talked to their baby - more than twice as many as those using away-facing buggies.
Babies facing towards the buggy-pusher enjoyed a reduced heart rate and were twice as likely to fall asleep.

Only one baby in the group of 20 laughed during the away-facing journey, while half laughed during the face-to-face journey.

Dr Suzanne Zeedyk, from Dundee University's School of Psychology, said: "If babies are spending significant amounts of time in a baby buggy, that undermines their ability to communicate easily with their parent.

"Our data suggests that for many babies today, life in a buggy is emotionally impoverished and possibly stressful. Stressed babies grow into anxious adults."

Ricardo is our lab mate in power system economic group in ferranti building, north campus (old umist). A visiting researcher from argentina under the same supervisor as me. A nice guy and very helpful especially when I had query about research work or anything. He will explain everything till i don't have to proceed with the next question. Hehehe

He just left after one year been worked in our lab. Ma (cathy), our lab mate organized a dinner sort of a farewell party for him on the last 25th Oct at her flat. She cooked many lovely dish and we enjoyed been there.

I didn't miss to cook some simple food for the dinner..coklat cake and fried noodle. However, we (maisarah and me) didn't stay long as maisarah was not feeling well and i drove alone that evening.

Maisarah makeover and Chicken pox!!

Last weekend (6 nov 08), mama cut and modified maisarah hair. Potong rambut depan sampai paras dahi and rambut belakang mama samakan. This actually first time mama cut her hair since ayah botakkan her hair while she was baby. Memang lambat sgt nak tumbuh.

Yg lawak tu, bila rambut depan tu kena tiup angin ke..atau dia sendiri tolak ke tepi (habit), cepat2 suruh mama turunkan balik rambut tu tutup dahi..nak cantik. Jaga betul new hair fashion tu!!

These below photos mama snaped after mama noticed maisarah is infected with chicken pox. Mama noticed while sending her to nursery on monday morning this week (3 Nov). Tak jadi antar nursery, mama brought her to mama's lab in ferranti building to meet my supervisor (to tell him, i need to take leave again!!) and to bring back some research works with a good intention to continue them at home.

Maisarah was very2 excited dapat pegi school mama. And alhamdulillah, my supervisor is very understanding and concern..he chatted with maisarah and siap dapat toys from him lagi. Maisarah asked mama, is your teacher girl or boy? When i answered boy, she asked again: don't you have a girl teacher? like my teacher..heheh

These few weeks were hard time for mama. Starting from ayah had chicked pox, moving house and now maisarah. Anyway, take it easy nofri (as miguel-my lab mate) advice me...tu semua dugaan.

If you notice some of the chicken pox spots on her head just on the left eyebrow and eye. That was the initial stage of the appearance. Now, the blisters are all over the body, on the face, back, chest, leg.

Once mama noticed, she got chicken pox..mama made chicken soup for her and bath her with soda bikarbonate (as suggested by fahima). And mama checked from wikipedia, symtomatic treatment with sodium bicarbonate may ease itching.

'Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is widely used to reduce fever. Aspirin, or products containing aspirin, must not be given to children with chickenpox (or any fever-causing illness suspected of being of viral origin), as this risks causing the serious and potentially fatal Reye's Syndrome.' huhu..apa tu??

However, it is important to maintain good hygiene and daily cleaning of skin with warm water to avoid secondary bacterial infection.

To help relieve the symptoms of chicken pox, commonly people use anti-itching creams and lotions to ease discomfort. Do not use these lotions on the face or close to the eyes. Also an oatmeal bath can help too. Interesting..nak try the oatmeal bath!!

How to Make Your Own Oatmeal Bath

Making a Colloidal Oatmeal Bath at Home

Here's how:

You'll need a blender, food processor or coffee grinder and 1 cup of oatmeal. You can use instant oatmeal (unflavored), quick oats or slow cooking oats- all work equally as well. For babies, you'll only need about 1/3 cup per bath.

Blend or process the oats on the highest setting until you have a very fine, consistent powder. To test the colloid property of the oats, stir 1 tablespoon oats into a glass of warm water. If the oats readily absorb the water and give it a milky look and a silky feel, you've blended long enough.

Giving the bath:

Sprinkle the oats into a tub of running water and stir the water with your hand several times to ensure even distribution. Feel along the bottom of the tub for clumps and break up any you find.

Take care assisting your child into the tub as the oats will make the tub even more slippery than usual. Allow your child to soak in the tub for 15-20 minutes and pat dry with a soft towel rather than rubbing.

You can use this bath once or twice a day or more frequently as your doctor advises.

And ayah always told her, don't get near to him, else you will get infected. Now, when mama hug her, she said, don't hug me, i got chicken pox...huhuh

Last friday (31st oct), echoes nursery celebrated halloween party for the kids. Parents were also invited. At first, mama was wondering what should maisarah wear on the party..ermm..takkan witch or ghost constume kot?? Definitely she wont..finally mama remembered on the 'costume' that mama bought for maisarah few months ago..this is the right time to show off the constume to everyone else..takpelah out of the theme..hehhe

Once mama told maisarah that she will wear the 'constume' to the school, she can't wait for the friday to come..

The summer is over and winter is coming!! Weather is quite cold lately..and sometime reached below zero at night. Fall is wonderful. Looking at the leaves turn to shimmering shades of yellow, orange and red is really awesome.

Salam Semua,

Lama sungguh2 tak update blog maisarah ni. Anyway, rasa still tak terlambat untuk mengucapkan selamat hari raya kepada semua muslimin dan muslimat, maaf zahir batin.

Beraya di perantauan, walaupun kemeriahan sambutan raya tetap ada (malah terasa lebih meriah plak..mungkin kat malaysia kemeriahannya terlebih2 ditonjolkan oleh media), namun masih ada kekurangan terutama ketiadaan ibubapa, adik beradik dan keluarga di samping. Hisk hisk...

Raya di Manchester, walaupun jauh dari tanah air, tapi suasana dan sambutan eid tidak kurang hebatnya. Mungkin sebab ramainya community melayu kat sini, byk aktivity sejak dari mulanya ramadhan hinggalah ke hari raya..jamuan buka puasa di rumah kawan2, pasar ramadhan, iftar, invitation open house yg tak henti2 since firstday raya hari tu smpailah skang ni. Setiap weekend ada jer open house tak kurang 3-4 biji rumah. First week raya tu jgn cakap lah, perut ni smpai tak leh nak masuk makanan dah. Raya pertama jer pon kat 7-8 rumah. Smpai tak mampu nak pegi semua.

Sedih??? sedih tu tetap ada..tapi dengan kemeriahan yg ada kat sini, and sibuk beraya..so kurg lah terasa... Ditambah ngan teknologi canggih skang ni, hari raya leh buat conference ngan sanak saudara thorugh webcam, telephone..rasa dekat jer Malaysia tu. Keakraban hubungan kami di sini, mengurangkan lagi rasa sedih tu..bergelak ketawa, tak kering gusi bila berjumpa.

Solat Aidilfitri MCCH-1 Syawal 2008

We all celebrate syawal satu hari earlier than Malaysia. Hari sebelum raya tu, family routine still cam biasa..and for the last day ramadhan, kami buaka puasa di Rusholme. Pak Arab tu yg bgtau kami esok raya..huhu..balik dari rusholme terus gi rumah kak bariah amik kuih raya (mama memang x sempat lah nak buat kuih2 ni)..Nasib baik, barang nak masak tu mama dah ready siap2 on the last weekend. So balik rumah, terus masak menu2 usual di hari raya.
Antara juadah yg sempat di siapkan (alamak takde gambar ah):

1. Rendang ayam
2. Rendang kambing
2. Nasi impit
3. Lontong (traditional tu..himpit pakai buku, susn byk2)
4. Sambal ikan bilis

Pagi satu syawal, we all went for solat aidilfitri berjemaah bersama malaysian community of cheetham hill yang lain..

Habis solat, sessi bergambar bersama keluarga dan rakan2 MCCH yang lain. Aktiviti ni x leh tinggal, rasa cam artist bergambar..maklumlah flash camera dslr memancar2..hehhe

Jamuan raya 2008 seManchester

12 syawal 2008 adalah jamuan raya semanchester..sungguhlah ramai orang, tak kira postgrad and undergrad bersama2 menyambut raya. Sempat gaklah amik gambar walaupon suasana agak 'jammed'...and yg best tu, activity selepas program raya tu..jeng jeng jeng..tunggu keluaran post lain nanti.

Spoon and Egg Race @ Echoes

Last wednesday, there was a spoon and egg race @ Echoes. Parents were also invited to join the event. So mama took the opportunity to join and had fun with maisarah and her frineds. At the same day, they were having pyjamas day as well, as all the children and the staff were on their pyjamas. Maisarah and her friend Ardini, Tihani and all the children were having a great time on that day.

Assalamualaikum..

Salam Ramadhan tuk semua umat Islam di mana juga. Semoga Ramadhan kali ini membawa makna yang lebih besar kepada kita semua dengan ibadah yang berganda. Insyallah..

Bermulanya Ramadhan ~1st Sept, kebetulan bermulanya juga satu evolution in our family daily routine. 1st Sept, both ayah and maisarah started their new life dan kebetulan that is the first day of ramadhan this year.

Ayah has started again his industrial life and maisarah started her full time day in nursery. Alhamdulillah..rezeki Allah..mula2 pening gak nak antar maisarah kat mana bila ayah dah start kerja..tapi alhamdulillah, Allah permudahkan..tup tup dapat call from Echoes Nursery, ada full time place tuk maisarah. Banyak jer nursery lain tapi mahallah, we prefer this nursery sebab subsidized by university of manchester, so kuranglah sket fees dia..and location pon dalam university jer so mudah mama nak pegi jenguk maisarah skali skala.

Baru terasa betul2 settle down skang ni..walaupon life agak busy..pukul 6.30am dah bangun and buat preparation both for ayah and maisarah..pukul 7.45am all of us keluar rumah sekali dengan kalut-kalutnya..and sampai kul 8am kat nursery maisarah. Every day, mama jadi the first parent yg antar anak kat echoes..kadang2 tu, pintu besi dia pon belum buka lagi. Nursery starts at 8.30am, nasib lah with the courtesy of staff kat echoes, they let us in tapi mama kena jaga maisarah dulu sampai kul 8.30am. So dapatlah half hour spend time play with maisarah at echoes.

Then dalam ku 8.30am, mama pon gi lab which is just 5 mins walking distance from the nursery. While ayah lepas hantar kitorang terus ke tempat kerja which is quite far jugak from town. It takes around 30-40min by car..and he must reach there by 8.45am.

Mama pick up maisarah petang around 4.30-5.oopm. Last week balik rumah naik bus jer..tapi insyallah lepas ni balik tumpang member. Rasa penat gak tolak maisarah naik bus sebab petang ramai sgt org balik kerja and ditambah ngan musim hujan plak skarang ni. Nak tunggu ayah pick up us, lambat sangat...

That is the daily routine skang ni..memang agak tiring. Tapi rasa relief sgt2 and mama pon dapat concentrate in study with peaceful mind. Alhamdulillah..

Fruit Picking @ Eddisbury Farm

Salam...the last few weeks we had a family trip for fruit picking at eddisbury farm and a barbecue picnic at a park somewhere in chester (tak ingat apa nama park tu ntah). Few families joined the trip; fahima & family, kak ita and family, kak fiza and family and mas and family. Eventhough dah agak lapuk cerita pasal activity ni, mama still nak update some of the pics for this entry. heheh

Fruit picking is one of the activity yg tak boleh tinggal during the summer season. This is the second time mama went for the fruit picking. Last time, it was 5 years ago, joined kak bahisham to strawberry farm...very exciting, buah strawberry besar2 and manis. Puas kutip, bawak balik rumah dah banyak sangat sampai tak tahu nak buat apa..hheheh

This time, strawberry dah out of season. Buah epal pun tak masak lagi, and plum tak banyak yang menjadi. Anyway, we still bought some blueberry and rasberry...asal jangan tak beli jer. hehh...yang seronoknya bukan apa..nak petik buah kat farm tu jer..sambil2 petik, masuk mulut..kenyang jer perut. hehhe

Maisarah pon excited picking the fruits. Habis semua dia kutip dengan buah yang belum masak masuk dalam bakul dia.

Habis fruit picking, we went to the nearest park..activity barbecue pulak. Punyalah banyak makanan tambah dengan satey barbecue...memang best! Sampai tak terhabis nak makan.

A Birthday Party For Princess Maisarah

Happy 3rd birthday to our dearie Tengku Maisarah on the last 17th August 2008. Mama and ayah organized a simple birthday party for her and called few friends tuk memeriah kan majlis. Memang mama plan lama for this party, especially bila teringat she keep telling people about her birthday party after her 2nd year birthday celebration last year..punyalah dia seronok..masa tu buat kat penang. And definitely memang meriah since atuk, nenek, tok, tokwan and other relatives were around. For party kali ni, maisarah selalu kata, atuk, nenek, tok and tokwan nak datang UK masa beday nanti, naik 2 times aeroplane. Tak tinggal jugak..heronya si Mr Tumbles and the Cbeebies geng tu pon maisarah nak mama invite skali. Heheh

At first, memang tak tahu nak masak apa..finally call hani and she offered to help..Alhamdulillah..thanks so much to hani! so both of us devided the tasks..and hasilnya these were the menu on that day:

-lamb chop

-Chicken chop

-Plus lamb and chicken chop accessories (gravy, coselow, mesh potatoes)

-Mihun goreng

-roti jala (ayah maisarah yang tolong jala...cam jala ikan gak! hehe)

-kari ayam

-chocolate cake (last minute, mama buat gak)

tak lupa juga, ayah maisarahlah yang help mama a lot buat preparation in the kitchen. Thanks!

An Evening @ Manchester Eye

Last weekend, the week before we went for fruit picking, four mommies vogue (kak fiza, fahima, wani and me) went hit the town. While ayah2 went for fishing, mommies brough kids to have fun and enjoyed the hot weather..sgt2 hot!. The weather was really nice (nice for UK people but not for us..erggh! however memang suit for photography session ditambah dengan camera kak fiza yg powerful itu!

Memang best and challenging, bawak kids to town, lagi naik bus pulak tuh. First destination to St Peter Square, habis possing2 terasa thirsty, then we went to starbuck at st anne square enjoyed the cold of caramel frapuchino..yummy2! After that activity shopping kat Gap and Zara @ kings road. On the way back, singgah kat manchester eye to have even more photo shots.

Finally sampai @ rumah Fahima, we prepared dinner for ayah2 yang balik fishing...ingat nak masak lah ikan2 yg ditangkap...last2 hasil tangkapan x seberapa, ikan dalam fridge kak fiza lah yang menjadi mangsa..heheh

It's a summer sale!!! Well..actually it's already at the end of summer sale!! Cuma myself baru nak publish this post. Ada banyak post playing in my mind, coz recently we have lot's of activities...but time too constraint. Nanti lah ek..

Shopping..shopping..shopping...that is the most happening activity for me here..and i belived not only myself but everyone in UK. Kalau tgk mat salleh/minah saleh kat sini rasanya everyday diorg shopping. In fact...shopping is a good theraphy for women, right? Heheh...Everyweek rasa nak shopping jer.. Huh! I guess, whoever had been to UK, memang tahu shopping memang best kat sini and definitely when during the sale! Tapi, lepas dah shopping tu kena muhasabah diri gak sket so that boleh beringat2.... Heheh...

Nak cerita pasal first day Next sale two weeks ago. That was my first time in my life..woke up @ 4 IN THE MORNING just to go for Shopping. Kalau nak suh bangun kul 4 pagi study pon belum tentu..huhuh :-P. When i was here 5 years ago, during first day of boxing day pon duduk kat rumah jer..reason takut nak berebut2 ngan org. Tapi kali ni sebab nak shop for Maisarah and hubby and not to leave myself..terasa kuat semangat nak pegi.

It was on saturday..dah plan ngan fahima and kak fiza before tu, kita serang NEXT arndale. Pagi tu sharp at 4am...my hp beep..a message from fahima: 'Wake up girls! Are you ready to fight!'..heheh..scary..Bangun mula2 tu basuh muka jer...pastu rasa, kot2 aku sorang jek tak mandi..busuk plak. Masa tu rasa2 lagi..biaq betul ni...hehehhe. Ada ke orang gi shopping subuh2 cam ni..ayah maisarah siap tanya, buka ke next tu pagi2 ni.

Around 4.45am..fahima datang sorang..rupanya kak fiza tak jadi follow, dia nak shopping kat Next kat manchester ford jer. So we all terus pegi..dengan weather hujan yang rintik2 pagi tu..hehe..semangat2!!Tapi, masa tu dalam hati still rasa lagi betul ke org2 uk ni gi shopping pagi2 cam ni..heheh

Sampai town, terkezut gak, tgk ramai org..bukan kitorg jek..kira2 kami ni lambat gak lah sampai.. tgk depan pintu next, ramai org dah siap tunggu eventough belum buka lagi...NEXT start sale ~ 5.30am. Cheh! carik parking kat victoria station. .the nearest parking..Huh lega dapat parking..semangat2, sempat lagi Next belum bukak. Time nak bayar parking..both of us x de coins..£3 plak tuk. Puas godek2..alamak takde rezeki nak parking sini..terpaksa parking jauh sket. Kena plak jalan kaki..dalam hati alamak melepas ah barang best2. People told me, everyone kat dalam Next tu akan grab jer dulu barang yg dia nampak..then time nak bayar baru sort...emmmm currious..

Sampai2 tgk next dah buka..cheh! So fahima and myself terus jer berpecah ikut haluan sendiri. First step ke children department lah..memang cantik2 baju budak and murah!! Like others, i just grabbed whatever yg rasa cantik masuk dalam bag yg next bagi tu. Then to mens department..and last skali ke women dept. Masa nak ke women dept tu jumpa fahima..tgk beg sorg2 punya ah berat.Hehhehe..macam nak beli semua..

Time to sort..mula2 sorting kat women dept..on the way nakpegi bayar tu lalu balik depan children dept..tangan gatal jer nak meng'grab' lagi baju... Hehhe.. Cari lagi tempat nak sort...sort brg mana yg betul2 nak jer..siap duduk kat lantai tu...heheh. Budget dalam £60++ jek..huhu..yelah bukan next sale jer pegi..gap, zara, mothercare and lain2 tu pon dah pegi. huhuhu! Dengan paksa relanya terpaksa ah melepaskan barang2 yg rasa tak perlu because of budget constraint...hehehe

Dalam kul 8++ tu kami pon ready nak balik..tgk org pon dah nak clear. Tapi ada org tu, siap ajak nak sambung kat next clearance plak...hahhaha.

Salam,
It is quite a long time this blog has been abandoned. For the last few weeks I was quite busy with my literature review report plus some programs that need to be modified. Anyway, trying to steal some times to update story of our little one...

Alhamdulillah, Maisarah has been accepted for the National Education Funding (NEF) program organized by Manchester Council. Right after her three years beday which is on August, she is entitled to join private nursery for free funded by goverment for 12.5 hours per weeks. Well, this is actually our second choice for her education, while our first preference is to send her to full time nursery school. Unfortunately she will only be able to join the full time nursery on January next year.

At the moment, mama bring maisarah to todler and adult sessions at children centre on monday ~ 2 hours. This session again handle by manchester council and it is FREE!. Maisarah enjoy sangat this session, everyday tanya mama, kenapa tak bring her to school...even dah malam pon asyik tanya pasal school. Huhuhu..tinggal mama jer yang tak commit nak send maisarah to that session every week, sebab mama has to be there. Heheh...Ada jugak try apply play group session yg boleh tinggal kan maisarah kat centre tu, tapi dah full and kena masuk waiting list.

This is a part of our attempt nak train maisarah to school and mingle with other children. So ada aktiviti tuk dia and tak boring.

Masa kerja kat UiTM dulu mama tak concern sgt on her progress. Yerlah, siang maisarah duduk ngan baby sitter and malam pon ada very limited time with her. But now, I feel like to spent much time with her see her growing. Alhamdulillah, maisarah dah boleh baca and recognize alphabet from A to Z and numbers, learn from Bob the Builder game book, leapad, and etc. Boleh gak sket2 speak in English, belajar from Cbeebies kat TV. Dah pandai gak tgk jam..so kalau mama tgh cook, boleh tanya dia..what is the time now, then dia lari2 tgk jam try to look at the short needle pointing at what number. And yg best tu, dah boleh spell MA..MA...MAMA. And dah mula berebut laptop ngan mama sebab nak main game Balamory, In the night garden and Mr Tumble from Cbeebies website. She also can recite doa masa nak makan and tido.

She likes to ask so many questions, sampai mama ngan ayah jadi speechless...dah independent, boleh pakai baju and sock sendiri and help mama do house work, for example masukkan baju dalam washing machine and kemas bedsheet (ala2 dia laa).

Llangoed, Bangor Fishing Trip

Salam semua,

Last weekend (7 June), we went out for fishing on a very very sunny day. Dah lama plan nak pegi, tapi weather tak berapa best. The trip was a last minute decision after we found out a night b4 the trip from the weather forecast, it will be sunny on the next day! Three families were in the trip; my family, fahima and nor's family.

Llangoed, Bangor is located in an island ---> Isle of Anglesey, Wales. Very nice place and suitable for fishing. Perjalanan lebih kurang 2 hours from Manchester. Tempat fishing ni betul2 dekat cliff and tepi laut. The journey was quite challenging, but we enjoyed the trip. And dengar cerita, banyak ikan mackerel besar2 plak tuh. Skali pancing 4-5 ekor boleh bawaknaik. Huh! Sound interesting.

Disebabkan last minute decision, pagi2 sebelum bertolak tuh baru nak cari batu and other accessories tuk memancing. And finally, pukul 11++ pagi baru nak bertolak and sampai dalam pukul 1++pm (campur sesat2 sebab tak jumpa the cliff location).

From the parking area, it took about 20 mins to the cliff. Sampai2 tgk ada one group dah ready nak balik, and not bad---> banyak gak ikan yang dia dapat! Horey..kami pon seronok dengan harapan boleh bawak balik ikan banyak camtuh. Bestnya...penuh peti ais seminggu! Nizam, Taufik and Marzuki pon terus prepare diorg punya fishing rod.

Tunggu punya tunggu, sampai nak kul 4++pm, unfortunately sekor ikan pon tak dapat. And air laut pon dah mula surut. Pulak tu, ada seal yang dok tunggu kat bawah tu. Agaknya sebab tu lah rezeki tak berapa nak masuk. Hisk Hisk

Frust gaklah balik ngan tangan kosong. And lebih tensen lagi sebenarnya malu nak cerita kat member tak dapat ikan sekor pon! Huhuhu.

Walaucam mana pon, we really enjoyed the trip. Tempat tu memang cantik sangat and sesuai tuk amik gambar. Nak senang hati, on the way balik ke parking area tu kami posing puas2 kat ladang (ladang kot?ntah..) yang full with yello flower...very yellowish.

There will be a next trip.Insyallah. Hopefully many catch for the next trip. :-)

It was organized at park lebih kurang 10 mins walking distance from our house. Ada banyak activity especially sukaneka and makan2. Maisarah and ayah pon join the competition.

Salam semua...lama tak update blog ni. Sejak ada broadband kat rumah ni, makin malas plak nak update. Heheh

Anyway, tuk post kali ni nak cerita pasal makan. Makan kat sini boleh tahan mewah. Sejak datang sini, selalu jer dapat invitation makan free kat rumah kawan2 malaysia yang lain. Kami pon everyday masak. One thing sebab murah compare kalau nak beli kat luar. Bahan2 mentah nak beli murah. Makanan2 dalam tin yang di import from Malaysia pon banyak. So makan rasa cam kat Malaysia jer. Kat Manchester ni nak cari ayam + daging halal pon senang. 5 mins walking distance jer from rumah kami. Kami pon kengkadang panggil kawan2 datang especially during weekend.

The Larch Garden

Salam semua,

Lama tak update blog ni coz we quite busy with our stuff. Anyway, alhamdulillah dah pindah ke rumah baru. Maisarah very exited dengan rumah baru ni. A gated furnished apartment, located at larch garden cheetham hill. 2 bedrooms and 1 bath room. Rumah ni memang baru, tak pernah orang duduk lagi. 10 mins by bus to city centre. Cumanya, rental per month agak mahal and rumah kecik kalau nak compare dengan rumah lain yang org melayu duduk kat cheetham hill ni. However, we feel convinient staying in this apartment. Kalau dah start buat collection barang nanti, then baru cari umah besar sket. Heheh..

To family in balik pulau and KL, we miss you all so much. Tak dapat nak call lagi, coz rumah kami baru nak install phone and internet line next week. Jangan risau, kami sihat and have a good live here. Jaga diri baik2.

Alhamdulillah, kami selamat sampai di Manchester pada 24th April (khamis) around 10.35 am (local time Manchester). Transit di Amsterdam lebih kurang 5 hours. A very long journey, tapi Alhamdulillah semua berjalan lancar and Maisarah pon behaved very well.

At the moment, still belum settle down. Tengah dalam process cari rumah lagi. Rumah tu banyak, tapi nak cari yang comfortable,accessible, and affordable tu yang payah sket. So buat masa ni kami duduk di rumah Hani and Usman kat cheetham hill. Thanks to them and thanks to Fahima and taufiq as well as a very nice host.

Weather kat sini still sejuk walaupon nak masuk summer dah. Hujan boleh katakan every day. Tu yang horrible sket..especially when maisarah dah kena selsema.

Today jumpa supervisor kat Manchester University. Thanks to Prof Daniel Kirschen for his understanding on our family matters. Dia suruh settle down dulu, then baru start my study. Alhamdulillah...hope everything will go smoothly. To all dearest family and friend, ni ada gambar2 kami di Manchester.

An Episode in Ampang Puteri

Maisarah was admitted into Ampang Puteri Hospital on 17th February (exactly on her 2 years & 6 months day) due to high fever and suspected of lung infection. At the same time, I was having a PhD research methodology training in Shah Alam which was started on 18 - 22 Feb. During the time, I had to commute from ampang puteri (stay in ward at night) to shah alam for 4 days. As a mother, I was sooo touching. I had no choice... I wanted to stay by my daughter but I had to attend the training. The training also important since it was one of the requirement for me to get PhD scholarship.

Alhamdulillah, my mother was there..and she accompanied Maisarah during the day and I took care of my daughter during the nite. And I believe there is 'hikmah' behind it. As my friend told me, 'a good thing is not easy'. As we're preparing ourself towards a new journey, the things come in line are 'dugaan' from Allah and we have to face them patiently.

Back to Maisarah story..she was x-tray, dripped with water and every few hours she was given a nebolizer to clear her lung. Alhamdulillah..now she is fine and back to her normal activity. Some funny stories while we were in the hospital.... Maisarah keep asking me to run away from the hospital and hide at the stair so that nurse and doctor could not find her. She refused to sleep/drink milk on the hospital bed but prefer to sleep/drink milk on the chair. Only when she was sleeping, then I brought her to the bed.
